Product Design: Kevin Solis

Product designer and graduate from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, Kevin Solis is known for his unorthodox and compelling creations - particularly his Conglomerate Series which was exhibited at New York Design Week last year. This series reassesses conventional ceramic processes - with the objective of making a new material crafted from a porcelain-based composite. It was quite the experimental process that has subsequently produced beautiful objects varying in shape, color, texture, and size. These objects can be utilized as drinkware, mini vases, and accent pieces for shelves. The newest additions to this collection are even larger in size and also work as fully functional lamps.
