Designer: Fyodor Golan
Fyodor Podgorny and Golan Frydman, London-based design duo, never fail to conceptualize the most eccentric and colorful runway collections. They boast impressive collaborative campaigns with My Little Pony and even Coca Cola -- though, their most recent collection for FW 2017 really resonated with me. I love when designers derive their inspiration from super mundane ideas + objects because my creative process starts with brainstorming in precisely the same way.
It's interesting because Post Its are totally just everyday items and they're generally not given a second glance on one's desk, but when applied to an unorthodox canvas --- such as, well, clothes --- suddenly they become so enchanting. And get this -- the Post Its are made from leather too! I mean, of course it was a must for an element of luxe to be added and this was accomplished without sacrificing the concept -- deff a win, win.
Pictured above: The inside view of a window at Parisian concept store, Colette, which features the duo's collection of assorted merchandise from FW 2017. I love the fluorescent color-blocked crane contraption. It complements the collection so well! Items from this collection are now available for purchase on www.colette.fr and will be available at select online retailers this fall.
