Art Direction: Pantone Pairings

Minneapolis-based creative, David Schwen, often couples various pantone color chips together to analyze whether the hues complement one another or not -- and while doing this, he briefly reflected on how people also pair together assorted food items, and from there began the conception of 'Pantone Pairings'. Schwen is also the founder and creative director of Dschwen LLC, which is a design studio that specializes in branding, art direction, stop-motion, and illustration. Pictured below are just some of the many quintessential food + condiment pairings we've all grown to know and love.
